Pressing on
I'm finally moved in! I spent all day yesterday shuttling back and forth between orientation events at SPU and unpacking at my apartment - which is conveniently just down the road. I have one roommate - Jamie - and two house mates who have their own rooms at the other end of the apt. - Sarah and Heather. I still have a box that hasn't been unpacked, but it's mostly kitchen stuff and it's under my bed. I can't wait for classes to start, mostly because I want to be doing something - and have an excuse for my sitting around doing nothing :) That and I want to get started so I can get finished with all this nonsense.
Two of my classes I'm really looking forward to - they will probably be hard and challenging, which is the kind that I enjoy the most. The third one I'm sort of rolling my eyes at, the whole class seems a bit silly and absurd for an upper division course. But as long as I can smile and nod my way to an "A" I'm happy. Oddly enough one of my books required for "Belief, morality, and the modern mind" was written by one of my professors at Biola. oh the irony.
I'm excited; I get to see Michael in like a week. We're going to the Mariners baseball game a Safeco field at the end of next week. He's never been to one and I've only been to something like two or three. A bunch of people from Church are going as well, which should be a lot of fun. Someone said that they'd pick me up on their way down so I don't have to worry about conning a ride out of one of my roommates. Speaking of church, there are like three Covenant churches close to SPU that I'm going to try out. Two of which are within 2 miles - unfortunately I can't walk there from here do to things like crossing the freeway and to go around would be an extra 5 or 6 miles. Ain't life just dandy? But Jamie said she'd take me this Sunday. Hopefully I'll meet someone there who can give me a ride in the future.
