One for the Money
Well, it sure has been a while, hasn't it? This last weekend has been a lot of fun, a little stressing, but overall very good. On Friday I decided that I was sick of the way my room was and decided to get rid of my bed (it was a bunk bed that had once belonged to my sister and I) make a new one, and reorganize my room. Needless to say it took all day with me frantically running around trying to get everything done and making sure that my grandfather stayed out of it. *shudders* I dread to think what would have happened to my new bed is he had gotten a hold of more than just the headboard (which I had to re-do once he was finished with it) *sighs* oh well.
Saturday I went to SOL - Hurray! - for the fist time in months. It was good to be there and to do the dramas again. After that Michael and I went to the Bellingham Scottish Highland Games, ironically held in Ferndale. It was so much fun! We sat and watched a bunch of burly men pitch a 20lbs bag of straw up and over a bar 20 some odd feet above their heads with a pitch fork, and toss the caber. Now that was cool. We wandered about for a could of hours listening to the bands play and looking into the vender stalls. Later on Michael and I had a lot of fun with strawberries, we looked like we had started a war - us being covered in red juice and all. Food fights can be a lot of fun. hehehe...
This Sunday, today, was the church annual picnic and it poured down rain the entire time, but it was a lot of fun. We moved it indoors and had to keep the kids from taking and eating everything they could pit their fingers on, which is a lot of food that they would never eat. I love my church, it makes me happy. Something I'm also very excited about for tonight is bowling. Yes, that's right. Bowling. Every Sunday night, or at least most Sunday nights Michael and I and a few others go bowling for a dollar a game and have a great time abusing each other and harassing everyone. One of my favorite Sunday traditions.
